Bird-Friendly Cities
Bird Conservation Oregon advocates for bird-friendly policies and practices to support birds and engage the public with birds on urban landscapes. Our urban landscapes provide important migratory, breeding, and wintering habitat for wild birds. They also present significant hazards for birds including collisions, poisons, domestic animal predators, and other threats. Bird Conservation Oregon believes that bird conservation begins at home and that everybody should have thriving bird populations in their neighborhoods. The health of local bird populations tells us much about the health of the landscapes on which we live.
